This morning, the Governor announced the award of Health Resources in Action (HRiA) COVID-19 Community Grants to community and faith-based organizations across the Commonwealth, with organizations serving Malden awarded just over $80,000. These organizations include Everett Haitian Community Center, Massachusetts Alliance of Portuguese Speakers, and New American Association of MA. These funds will help to build capacity and implement community interventions to minimize the spread of COVID-19 in communities experiencing the greatest inequities during the ongoing pandemic.
Grantees will build on the efforts of local and state officials, along with the Commonwealth's public messaging campaign to ensure that all residents of the Commonwealth have access to the information they need to keep themselves and members of their community safe.
