Renters' and Homeowners' Rights During COVID-19

We continue to fight to strengthen renters' and homeowners' rights across the Commonwealth to protect people from evictions and foreclosures in the midst of this pandemic. However, it's also incredibly important to know the rights you do have until we can win those protections.

While the Massachusetts eviction moratorium will expire on Saturday, you still have the right to stay in your home until at least December 31. Please click here to read the full CDC order which halts evictions nationwide for more details on the federal moratorium, and be sure to fill out and submit the Declaration Form linked here and submit it to your landlord if you are behind on rent or in danger of being evicted.

If you have any questions, concerns, or want to be connected with other resources to help you or a loved one stay housed during this difficult time, please don't hesitate to call my office at (617) 722-2460
