Appointments will be preserved for seniors. Those who receive appointments for the first dose will be also be scheduled for the second shot.

LANGUAGE HELP

There will be language interpreters for the phone lines in Mandarin and Cantonese, with further languages coming soon. At the clinic, Spanish, Vietnamese, Cantonese and Mandarin volunteers will be on hand in person to assist attendees.

WHERE

Both clinics will be held at the Salemwood School (529 Salem St., Malden, MA 02148) field house, which has elevator access and plenty of ventilation and room for social distancing. These will be Pfizer doses.

Please note that information on vaccination for residents of Malden Housing Authority buildings, as well as teachers, will be coming soon.

GETTING THERE

Need a ride to the appointment? Mystic Valley Elder Services has you covered. Any resident age 60+ can contact MVES at (781) 324-7705 to request a ride to your vaccine appointment. Visit MVES.org for more information.

Malden Neighbors Helping Neighbors is also making volunteer drivers available through the Malden Board of Health, in the event demand exceeds capacity for rides. Thank you MNHN!

STATE HOTLINE (NEW!)

Today, the Governor announced a new 2-1-1 Mass Vaccine Scheduling Resource line for individuals 75+ who need help with vaccine appointments and cannot access the website.

This 2-1-1 resource is ONLY available to individuals age 75+ who cannot use the internet, and translators are available to help. Callers will be able to speak with a live representative who can assist them with an appointment. It does not create increased access to appointments, and if no appointments are available, the caller will have the option to be placed on a call-back list for the mass vaccination sites.

To use the hotline: Call 2-1-1 from any phone, starting today, and follow prompts to reach the Massachusetts Vaccine Scheduling Resource Line. The line is staffed from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

*** The quickest and easiest way to schedule a vaccine appointment or check availability is to use the online system at mass.gov/covidvaccine. ***
